Side-Power SE60/185S-IP 4HP Thruster – 12V & 24V

The Side-Power SE60/185S-IP is a 4HP electric tunnel thruster available in 12V and 24V configurations. It is intended for compatible bow or stern installations using the SE60/185S-IP platform.

The available versions share the same 4HP rating and model family while differing in system voltage. Select the 12V version for a vessel using a 12V thruster circuit or the 24V version for an installation operating at 24V.

This IP configuration is separate from the standard Side-Power SE60/185S thruster. The complete model designation should therefore be checked when replacing an existing unit.

Ignition Protected Features:

• High safety standards provide reliable and safe thruster installations in more boats
• Side-Power offers modified versions of their DC electric thrusters in watertight housings for use in stern and other locations that may get wet or be exposed to petrol fumes
• These thrusters are fully ignition protected (ISO 8846) for use in boats with petrol engines
• They have a hermetically sealed composite housing around all electric parts
• This provides the ignition protection as no petrol fumes can enter and be ignited by sparks
• The other advantage is that the electric parts that could be damaged by water are also covered and protected, making these thrusters the ideal choice for other stern thruster installations where it is difficult to ensure that the thruster will always remain dry
