The Side-Power SEP80/185T 12V is a proportional tunnel thruster for bow or stern maneuvering on boats in the 35 to 48 ft range. It is built for installations where measured thrust control is preferred over simple On/Off operation.

This side power proportional thruster runs on a 12V DC system and uses twin 5-blade propellers in a 185 mm / 7.28 in tunnel. It delivers 80 kg / 176 lb thrust at 10.5VDC and 96 kg / 212 lb thrust at 12VDC. The motor output is listed at 6HP / 4.4 kW, with a 400A / SMANL400 fuse requirement and 1045 CCA SAE minimum battery capacity.

The SEP format is suited for close-quarters handling where the operator needs controlled thrust response during docking, slip entry and marina maneuvering. It is also a relevant upgrade path when comparing SEP proportional control against SE On/Off models in the same 185 mm tunnel class. Confirm the 12V battery bank, tunnel size, fuse, cable sizing, control panel and compatible control cabling before ordering.
