The Max Power R200 hydraulic retractable thruster is a compact retractable system designed for bow or stern installations where a retractable unit is preferred over a fixed tunnel thruster. When not operating, the turbine retracts into the hull and the hull opening is closed by a dedicated closing plate.
The R200 range includes two configurations: R200/6 and R200/8. Both use a piston-type hydraulic motor, Duo 2-blade propellers, and the same compact R200 housing dimensions, but they differ in hydraulic requirements and available power.
The R200/6 is the lower-output configuration, while the R200/8 requires greater hydraulic flow and pressure. Power-pack options include PTO and 24V, allowing the hydraulic system to be integrated according to the vessel’s available power arrangement.
