Compact full-color lighting for transoms and hull sides

The Lumishore SMX94 delivers full-spectrum RGBW color-changing underwater lighting from a compact surface-mount fixture. It combines red, green and blue LEDs with a dedicated 6500K white channel, producing 6,000 fixture lumens across a wide 90° beam.

With a 2.75-inch (70 mm) fixture diameter and a low 0.67-inch (17 mm) profile, the SMX94 provides substantial underwater output while keeping the exterior footprint compact. Its surface-mount design is suitable for transom and hull-side installations where a large thru-hull fixture is not required.

Technical specifications

Direct power or expanded RGBW control

The SMX94 can operate directly from vessel power using a standard on/off switch. In this configuration, the fixture provides on/off control and color-cycle selection without requiring a separate command center.

For more advanced control, the SMX94 can be integrated with the ECLIPSE Command Center. A compatible ECLIPSE setup can add dimming, zone control, color selection and control through supported smart devices or multifunction displays. The fixture and control components should be planned together when these expanded functions are required.

Surface-mount installation and hull planning

The SMX94 uses three marine-bronze mounting screws and requires only a small cable opening, making the installation less invasive than a conventional thru-hull underwater fixture. It should be installed on a flat transom or hull-side mounting surface.

Lumishore specifies the use of an isolation kit on conductive hull materials. Cable access, circuit protection, mounting position and available space behind the installation surface should all be confirmed before drilling.

For underwater installation, the mounting location should also be planned around the 90° beam to provide consistent light distribution along the transom or hull.
